Escaping the Dullness of Winter with Gain Botanicals

For most parts of the country it’s been a pretty mild fall, but winter is starting to hit pretty much everywhere ….  Even here in Texas, we have had a few days of blah and cold.  It’s getting darker earlier.  Things just seem a little drab.  To be honest I am missing the fresh scents of summer and of nature!

Recently Gain approached me with their new plant based detergent – Gain Botanicals.  With scents like Orange Blossom Vanilla and White Tea and Lavender, I could not resist!  As you can see from the photo above, I tapped right into that Orange Blossom Vanilla – it smells so good and makes my whole day brighter and happier as I pull the clothes out of the washer (who ever thought I would say THAT about laundry)!  Actually, I think later today, I’m going to wash our bed sheets in the White Tea and Lavender – that just has a good night sleep written all over it!

Ok so besides the scent, I also love that Gain Botanicals is made from 65% plant based ingredients and is free of dyes, chlorine, phosphates and optical brighteners.  It is Gain’s first USDA-certified bio-based product.  All three of my kids have sensitive skin and Gain Botanicals has not caused an eczema flare up or bothered them one bit!  Our clothes are coming out super clean as well – so don’t worry that you are sacrificing quality in exchange for going greener – Gain Botanicals has the perfect formula.

Another fun fact?  The bottle itself is made from 25% or more recycled plastic!  This is truly a product you can feel good about!

Gain Botanicals is available at food, drug, and mass retailers nationwide.  Go give yourself the sweet botanical boost you may need this winter!  And – just a reminder, as with all laundry products and household cleaners - be sure to keep the bottle up, closed and away from children.

As a member of the P&G Fabric Care Advisory Board I was given complimentary product to facilitate my review.  All opinions are my own.
